Closing Bank Street Location

June 1, 2024 Update

Our 128 Bank Street location will be closing permanently as of this evening, June 1, following our Night Market and Book Launch Event running from 10AM to 9PM.

We're still in the process of ironing out a lot of details about how we'll be integrating our products and services in with our 1400 Clyde Avenue location, but we do have some general information to share in the meantime.

How does the closure affect web orders?

Inventory and order processing for our website have always been based out of the 128 Bank Street location. Since this location will be closing, all web orders waiting to be picked up at 128 Bank Street will be moved to our 1400 Clyde Avenue location as of June 3.

Any preorders that were placed for pickup at 128 Bank St will be made available for pickup at 1400 Clyde Avenue in the future when they arrive as well.

If our 1400 Clyde Avenue location is inaccessible, please contact us with your order number and we'll do our best to make alternative arrangements for you on a case by case basis.

Online orders placed during the next few weeks are likely to experience processing delays.

What about my subscriptions at Bank St?

All of our comic subscriptions will be moving over to 1400 Clyde Avenue starting this coming Wednesday, June 5. If you'd like to make any changes to your subscriptions, please reach out to us.

Please note that we're experiencing a high volume of emails at this time, but we'll do our best to get back to you as quickly as possible.

What's happening with the website going forward?

In the following weeks, we will be focusing mainly on the addition of weekly new comics in limited quantities. The majority of the existing stock will be removed as we sort through our inventories.

Local pickup will only be available at our 1400 Clyde Avenue location going forward. Regular shipping and our free shipping for orders $100+ promotion remain unaffected.

Our store updates are mainly posted through Facebook and Instagram, although we understand that not everybody is subscribed to social media. We felt that it was important to reach out to all of you in as many ways as possible, and appreciate you taking the time to read through this update. We will continue to update this page with any new information as well.

As we wrap up our final sale with the store, we'd like to thank everybody who has come down to support us not only during this difficult time, but all throughout the 25 years of our store's history on Bank Street. We are so grateful for each and every one of you in this wonderful community, and we wouldn't be here without you.

As of Friday, May 31st, we will be closing our doors at our 128 Bank Street location. This has been a very difficult decision for us as we care deeply about the wonderful community we've created with all of you.

We will have details to follow in the coming days about how we will go about transitioning our subscription customers and pre-orders to our Clyde Avenue location. We're in the process of trying to sort out all the details but we will update everyone as soon as we have more information to share.

We'd like to take this opportunity to formally thank everyone who has supported us over the years. Without you we wouldn't have been able to foster this community that we've created at Bank Street for the past 25 years.
